NLP Practitioner Certificate

The Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner Certificate we teach is an internationally recognised qualification. On successful completion of the course you will receive an NLP Practitioner certificate from the ANLP professional body which entitles you to apply to them for membership.

Entry Requirements

This course is open as a standalone qualification to existing health care professionals, including complementary health practitioners, upon a short personal or telephone interview. Existing health care professional will be taking this course alongside our students who will be completing one of the following courses:

  • BSc Hons Nutritional Science + CNELM Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma
  • MSc/PG Dip Personalised Nutrition + CNELM Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma
  • CNELM Nutrition Coach Diploma

NB: Students must meet external verifier requirements to be eligible for the NLP Practitioner Certificate.

Course Location

The course is taught at CNELM in Wokingham and subject to demand in Johannesburg South Africa.

Students living overseas and at some distance from CNELM can request to take an NLP Practitioner course locally. Members of the Coaching Team will verify whether the course you plan to take should enable you to complete CNELM coaching assessments. Many of our overseas students take a local course and successfully complete our assessments.

During this comprehensive course you will learn how to use models of communication and understand how these influence the experience and behaviour of your self and others, identify the different representational systems people use, help people establish well-formed outcomes and set goals, modify and change behaviour in a creative and flexible way to facilitate the best future outcomes and elicit a positive state in your self and others. You will also learn how to use anchoring techniques and help your self and others to access past resources and use them to support future goals. You will find out how to explain, examine and debate the essential presuppositions, ethics, beliefs and values of working as a change, facilitator and therapist. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate awareness and flexibility in behaviour, language, state and approach in order to optimise client support and motivation. You will also apply appropriate meta-cognition in order to evaluate your own performance in coaching.

CNELM is a collaborative partner of Middlesex University (MU). The undergraduate and postgraduate courses we teach are validated and quality assured by MU. You will receive an MU award on successful completion and be invited to attend a graduation ceremony at their campus.

The NTEC accredits courses for nutritional therapy. The BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science and the MSc/PG Dip in Personalised Nutrition combined with CNELM’s Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma (NTPD) are accredited by NTEC.

The CNHC is the voluntary regulator for complementary therapists including Nutritional Therapists. Following successful completion of one of our accredited routes to nutritional therapy practice you will be eligible to apply to register with CNHC as a Nutritional Therapist.

BANT is a professional body for Nutritional Therapists that have completed NTEC accredited courses, or have demonstrated having met the NTEC Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards set by Skills for Health for nutritional therapy. Practitioner members of BANT are required to register with the CNHC.

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has accredited CNELM’s Dietary Educator Certificate. On successful completion of this course you will be eligible to apply to register as a Dietary Educator with the FHT.

Students that meet verification standards for the ‘NLP Practitioner Certificate’ can apply to register with the Association for Neurolinguistic Programming ANLP.
