INTRODUCING A BRAND NEW PARENTS' COOKERY WORKSHOP:

IMPROVING YOUR CHILD'S BEHAVIOUR AND LEARNING THROUGH FOOD

CNE has teamed up with Cookery Writer, Chef and Health Trainer Christine Bailey to run a uniquie Parent's Cookery Workshop Improving your child's behaviour and learning through food on Saturday 29th September 2007.

Why Should I Attend?

Whether you are a parent, childcarer or professional working with children if you want to help children maximise their health, reach their potential or overcome any concentration and learning difficulties you need to know how best to feed them.

It is now estimated that 1 in 7 children will be on drugs to control their behaviour - about 1.5 million.
Around 20% of school-age children are affected by conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or autism.
Over a third of ADHD children are officially excluded from school.
Children with behavioural and learning difficulties often show other features and physical health symptoms, including allergies that indicate digestive and nutritional imbalances.
Good nutrition can benefit all children - for their health, learning and behaviour. This half-day workshop will explore how making appropriate food choices could transform your child's behaviour and learning an in particular should help children with dyslexia, attention disorders and hyperactivity. It will provide answers to the questions asked by many parents on what foods support children's performance and concentration and which ones to avoid.

What will the Training Provide?

The workshop will include a practical talk followed by cookery demonstrations and food tastings to show parents how to prepare quick and easy meals and bring the best choices into your child's diet.
