Costs - BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy and BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science

Full Time Course Fees 2012 = £5,616 per level

All students standard undergraduates in 2012 (Levels 4, 5 and 6) will be charged at the rate of £936 per 20 credit module.

Payment Schedule

The full-time (based on six 20 credits modules) course fees are paid by monthly direct debit at the rate of £468 per month. Part time student’s direct debits are calculated based on the number of modules they are due to complete in one academic year.

Fee Increases

Fees will increase by approximately 4% per annum thereafter

Annual Institution Fee £1300

The Annual Institution reflects the following and is due in November before the course starts in January of each year or prior to starting the course if joining after the January start date. This fee secures your place on the course and can be paid earlier. The fee includes:

1) Middlesex University registration fee: £800

For those students registering on one of the BSc (Hons) courses there will be an annual Registration fee for Middlesex University. This fee is for the Final Award and is usually paid during the first year of study. This amount varies according to the number of students registering at any one time; the fee for 2012 is £800, reflecting the Centre registering about 20 students (or more) in one year. We are required to inform MU of new students within six weeks of registration. Should you need to withdraw from the course for any reason prior to registering with the university then you will be refunded this part of the joining fee.

2) BANT Membership: £60

All students will be registered with the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) at the outset of the course. BANT is the professional body for nutritional therapists. Students registering for the BSc Nutritional Science course will also be required to register with BANT, as the first year of the course is the same as the therapy degree course.

3) Subscription to the Royal Society of Medicine: £25

Annual student registration with the Royal Society of Medicine providing online access to 50+ E-books, 1300 journal publications, and 7 database search engines, as well as student discounts for their nutrition related seminars and conferences in London.

4) Contribution to Personal Mentorship over course duration: £295

All students registered on a degree course or Fast Tracking towards a degree qualification will be allocated a Personal Mentor. Personal Mentors are graduates of CNELM who provide pastoral support for students.

5) Contribution to online resources including e-books: £100

Ongoing access and development of online student learning resources

Text books and subscriptions

Students will need to purchase essential reading texts and can expect to spend in the region of £250 per annum. Subscription to the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) archive of journals is a necessary requirement a forms part of the joining fee (£75) and is valid for 3 years. Free access to the Nutrition Practitioner Journal is also available.
