What to expect at the Wokingham Clinic
First Visit 1.5-2 hours Fee £150
When you call or email to make an appointment we will always recommend that you arrange to meet with us at the Wokingham Clinic. If for any reason this is not possible then we can put you in touch with a practitioner that may be nearer to you. Alternatively, we will offer you a telephone consultation.
Many people contact the Centre from around the UK and abroad through 'word of mouth' and are looking for solutions for complex health problems. This is why we need to give you 1.5-2 hours for a first consultation. You will need to complete an 8 page health check questionnaire that you can return to us in advance or bring with you on the day. We like to see the questionnaire in advance if possible. This helps us to be prepared for your visit.
During the first consultation you can expect a thorough discussion of your health history and your current health concerns. We will then explain to you how nutritional therapy intervention could help you. This may involve laboratory tests or tests that we run in the clinic to help us design for you a personalised nutritional therapy programme. Costs for tests vary and can prove expensive. Going ahead with tests is optional. If you have private health insurance then you might be able to access some tests this way. In some instances we can write to your doctor and request routine tests to be performed. We will then discuss with you dietary changes that should improve your health and considerations for nutritional supplements. If you undertake tests then often we will not recommend supplementation until we have the results so that we can give you what is most likely to be of help to you.
Return Visit 30 minutes - 2 hours Fee £60 - £150
The time needed for a Return Visit varies. If you have gone ahead with tests then some require complex interpretation. Going through the results with you takes time as does the rationales for nutritional support. Some tests look at 45 different markers. It can take as one day to interpret such tests and write up a comprehensive Report for you with our interpretations and recommendations. If your tests are measuring indivual markers then detailed interpretation is not needed and we do not then write up a detailed Report. If your first return visit is straightforward then you may need 30-1 hour. Subsequent return visits may need only 30 minutes. After the first return visit it is often preferable to conduct further return visits by telephone.
Comprehensive Personalised Report £350
Between Visit Support
We do not charge you if your contact between visits requires just a few minutes of our time. If your queries are lengthy then we will need to charge you on the basis of £60 per half hour.
Cancellations
We know that unexpected things happen and that sometimes appointments need to be cancelled and rescheduled. We ask that you give us 24 hours notice so that we can give the appointment time to someone else. If 24 hours notice is not possible for whatever reason then still call us as soon as you can to let us know that you are unable to come. We do not charge for a first cancellation. However, if you cancel a second time then we will need to make a charge of £30. You would be invoiced for this cancellation fee.
Children of 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and you will need to sign that you agree for the consultation to take place.
We will need your permission to communicate with your medical doctor. We like to keep your doctor in the loop so that he/she is aware that you have sought nutritional therapy advice.
You will be offered 15% discount on nutritional supplements. The remaining discount which averages at 15% is directed into student training. We do not offer discounts on laboratory tests. Practitioner discount on tests is also directed into student training.
